Voronezh pensioner lost millions after communicating with the “plant manager”
Voronezh pensioners lost more than 4 million after appealing to “plant managers”.
The woman was contacted by an unknown person who introduced himself as the head of one of the workshops of the plant where she had previously worked. He told the pensioner that scammers wanted to take over her funds and that she urgently needed to transfer her savings to a safe account.
On the advice of a fraudster, an elderly woman took out a loan of one million rubles and transferred herself and the borrowed funds to the fraudster's account. The woman believed that the money went to the central bank.
After some time, the Voronezh resident realized her mistake and reported it to the police. Law enforcement officers opened a criminal case under the article on fraud (Part 4 of Article 159).
