Governor: Social focus of Voronezh Region budget to be maintained in 2025
At the local government meeting, the preliminary budget for next year and the planning period were discussed.
What the budget of the Voronezh region will be next year and the main part of the financing was discussed at a meeting of the budget planning committee for the next financial year and planning period. The event was held on October 14 by Governor Alexander Gusev.
One of the priorities should be the general costs of wages for all. According to Nadezhda Safonova, from 2025 to 2027, the wages of "legislative" categories of public sector employees will continue to grow in line with the growth of income from labor activity in the region. For other categories of employees, wages are indexed annually taking into account the projected level of inflation. The need for this is fully reflected in the instructions communicated to key managers.
Nadezhda Safonova also emphasized that the social focus of the budget next year will be maintained and will amount to more than 77%. At the same time, the share of expenses in the wage fund will amount to 42.1%.
The Minister emphasized that the regional budget is balanced, the deficit is technical, as in previous years, all figures, real and planned revenues will be paid.
Overall, the preliminary budget looks good. Therefore, we will adhere to these principles in all programs and processes that we have undertaken in recent years, including increasing wages. In reality, in the 2025 budget, revenues will not be lower than in 2024," Governor Alexander Gusev summarized.
