Sochi among top destinations for November holidays
This was reported by the tourist service Tutu, which analyzed sales of air and train tickets, as well as hotel reservations for the upcoming November holidays.
First of all, Russians plan to travel around the country during the November holidays. Domestic destinations account for 72.6% of air ticket purchases and 96.74% of train tickets, according to the Tutu travel service.
The top five air destinations were Moscow (13.8%), Sochi (7.2%), St. Petersburg (6.9%), Mineralnye Vody (4.6%) and Kaliningrad (4.4%). Russians are also planning to travel to Kazan, Yekaterinburg and Surgut for the November holidays.
Popular destinations abroad are: Uzbekistan - 27.43% of air tickets were issued there, Azerbaijan - 13.07%, Kyrgyzstan - 9.27%. Flights to Turkey, UAE, Armenia, Georgia and Thailand are also in great demand.
During the November holidays, travelers travel by train to both capitals (25.6% and 10.7% respectively), Krasnodar (4.5%), Rostov-on-Don (4.3%) and Simferopol (2.7%).
During the November holidays, most hotels were booked in Russia (82.57%), and abroad – 17.43%. The average bill for one night within the country is 3,254 rubles, abroad – 6,948 rubles.
The top five cities with the most booked hotels for the November holidays include two capitals: Sochi, Kazan and Yaroslavl. The average bill for one night in Moscow is 3,126 rubles, in St. Petersburg - 3,700 rubles, in Sochi - 2,571 rubles, in Kazan - 3,328 rubles, in Yaroslavl - 1,269 rubles.
Recall that Tvil.ru has identified the most popular destinations for long-term holidays in October 2024 based on booking data. The first is the village of Golubitskaya in the Temryuk district with an average length of stay of 10 nights. Second place was shared by Yalta and Arkhipo-Osipovka with an average length of stay of 9 nights. In third place is Anapa with an average length of stay of 8 nights. Tuapse is in 10th place, where tourists spend an average of 8 nights.
Earlier, Anapa was included in the top five popular tourist destinations for the November resort season. In addition, Sochi was included in the rating. Families with children going on vacation usually go on a trip in early November. The five most popular domestic tourist destinations for the November holidays correspond to the overall rating of the autumn season of 2024, with one exception. Crimea is not on the list for November.
