Becoming a scientist in Moscow will become easier
Students in the capital can create their own research projects. For this purpose, the city program "In the Science Center" is being launched in Moscow. The capital will host 30 scientific clubs for students in grades 8-11, who will present their achievements under the guidance of experienced mentors. This was reported by Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development Anastasia Rakova.
"Moscow actively creates all the conditions for students to reveal their potential, providing them with ample opportunities for development and self-expression. The capital's teenagers can not only dream of scientific discoveries, but also create them with their own hands. "30 scientific societies will be created in the capital to immerse children in research activities."
According to Rakova, during this intensive course, students will master the key stages of the scientific process: from choosing a research topic to obtaining final results.
"We expect that the first participants of the club will be about 1,000 high school students. High school students will develop their own projects under the guidance of experienced mentors, including scientists, inventors and laureates of the Moscow Government Prize," said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow.
Students choose one of seven areas: computer science, linguistics, ecology, geography, physics, chemistry and biology. The program lasts two months, during which students participate in round tables, quests, business games and trainings.
The best projects will be presented at the city conferences "Science for Life", "Kurchatov Project", "Beginning of Medicine", "Engineers of the Future" and at the Moscow City Competition of Research and Design Works. Competition "Big Challenge", Moscow Pre-professional Olympiad and All-Russian Labor Olympiad. Participants will expand their portfolio and receive additional points based on the results of the integrated exam.
