Hezbollah says it attacked a military base near Ben Gurion Airport

Hezbollah, the Lebanese Shiite movement, announced a rocket attack on Tzrifin, an Israeli military base located near Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv.

According to a statement on the movement's Telegram channel, the attack was carried out to "support the resilient Palestinian people in Gaza" and "defend Lebanon." No information was provided on the results of the attack.

Israeli radio station Kan reported earlier that a rocket had landed near the airport. According to the YNet portal, "the airport is open, takeoffs and landings are proceeding normally."

On September 23, Israel launched Operation Northern Arrow against Hezbollah forces in Lebanon, carrying out large-scale strikes against the organization’s military targets. The stated goal is to create a safe environment in the Jewish state’s northern border areas to allow tens of thousands of residents to return there. On September 27, an Israeli attack in Beirut killed Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah. On the night of October 1, the Israeli military announced a ground operation in Lebanon’s southern border area.
