"Collapsed" on the Eve of Winter: Russians Complain En Masse About Chinese Cars

With the arrival of cold weather in Russia, problems are beginning to arise for car owners driving Chinese cars. Drivers across the country are complaining about car malfunctions in China, SHOT CHECK reports.

According to the Telegram channel, after the first frosts, Chery and Omoda drivers had a particularly hard time. The cars rattle, make strange creaks and hums, and sometimes the entire system fails. The dealer, answering questions from an unpleasantly surprised buyer, describes the situation as "natural" noise. And Omoda really managed to creatively anger car owners. The tire pressure sensor shows incorrect values. There is also a problem with the windshield heating, due to which fogged stripes appear on the windshield and the driver's visibility is impaired.

Drivers described the problem as minor but very annoying, especially fogged windows and sudden extraneous noises. Many people are preparing for worsening conditions as winter approaches.

Automotive expert Andrey Troy explained that the list of "winter problems" for Chinese cars is almost the same as for cars of other brands, but these breakdowns happen more often. The list includes rapid loss of battery charge, problems with heat and noise insulation, errors in the operation of on-board systems, sensors and heaters. At the same time, the expert noted that manufacturers from the Middle Kingdom have done a lot of work to adapt their cars to Russian conditions. However, the most serious problem with the "Chinese" is that the service life is only 5-8 years.

Earlier, the car expert mentioned the most important steps to take to prepare your car for the upcoming cold weather. According to him, it is best to first replace all worn-out consumables and top up with good antifreeze.
