Refrigerator repairman puts Kazan pensioner in debt
A pensioner from Kazan lost a lot of money during yet another refrigerator repair. The craftsmen surprised him with the announced amount for their work. He had no choice but to borrow money.
"The director examined all this equipment behind the scenes and said: "The compressor needs to be replaced. The compressor costs 60 thousand." This was reported by the victim Altaf Giniyatullin.
Altaf Abdullovich asked for help because the freezer in his old refrigerator did not hold the cold. He found an enticing ad in his mailbox with a discount for pensioners and decided to call. The next day, two craftsmen came to the apartment with tools.
The cost of the repairs was kept secret until the work was completed. Only after the pensioner signed the receipt did it become clear that the grandfather was in trouble. Altaf did not immediately understand what had happened and called a friend to borrow money.
"Later, when I called my father, he said: 'My daughter is calling.' And indeed, they heard someone shouting from the 18th floor: 'Dad, I'm leaving now, don't give me the money.' They started to hurry and quickly left with the money," said Dilyara, the daughter of Lieutenant Colonel Giniyatullina.
The pensioner's daughter immediately began studying the completed document. The first thing I noticed was the general inaccuracy. According to two receipts, the amount was almost 180,000 rubles. But the customer was asked for less - 158 thousand. And they even gave me a discount, but in the end I had to pay 130,000 won. The family called the father-in-law several times to find out where such prices came from. However, they did not agree to a meeting.
Our journalists also decided to ask for help, posing as potential clients. Pavel Velkom comes with his partner. They work the same way. It seems they don't listen to questions about money.
- What is this? How long did it take?
- In general, it is not worth maintaining such dynamics.
The craftsmen, seeing the film crew, were clearly nervous, but they tried in every way to convince the pensioner’s relatives that their work should be appreciated.
"That's how I evaluate my work," says refrigerator repairman Pavel Belkom. "There are old machines that cost half as much."
Our journalists found out that the owner is not an employee. Please indicate your taxpayer identification number and last name on the receipt. In fact, Velkom turned out to be Kapushenko. The pensioner's family was convinced that they had been blatantly deceived and filed a police report. However, in this case, initiating a criminal case is problematic.
In this case, it is almost impossible to prove the fact of fraud, but a very important reason is that after the specialist's visit, the refrigerator will work. In essence, the problem is solved and the service is provided. However, large payments have to be contested in court, and this process can drag on for months.
Meanwhile, the pensioner will have to pay off his friend's debt, and the craftsman will have to prove his worth in his profession more than once.
