Sergei Roshchupkin joined law enforcement 17 years ago after serving in the army. He has now been promoted to Chief of Police. He served in the patrol and guard unit for 10 years, and as a district police officer for 7 years (he currently holds the position of Senior Chief of the District Police Officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Ramensky District of Moscow). "I wanted to get closer to the people." He explains his change of specialization as follows:
Well, perhaps there is no one closer to the people than the local police officer. That's how he solves all the problems that people come to him with.
"Once we brought a dog to our stronghold. Big, like a husky. It is clear that it is purebred. And most importantly - do this at home. It was running along the road when passers-by caught it and decided that its owner should be found. And who will see? "Of course, it is the police." This was reported by Sergey Roshchupkin.
So what do you think? The dog's owner has indeed been found. They said that they tried to take the child for a walk with the dog, but he couldn't handle the pet's temperament and size. They promised that such a thing would never happen again.
Sergey works in Ramenki. Since people here are smart, the police often have to deal with thefts, thefts from retail stores and damage to other people's property. But just as fraud and theft arise, so do family conflicts.
- Once a pensioner came to me. They charged 70,000 rubles for replacing a siphon in the sink. They seemed to have given him the money, but when the director had already left, he realized that his work was costing him too much, the local police officer recalls. - I found the owner. And he makes excuses. They say his wife, children and parents are sick. But these are all empty excuses. He was brought to court. But perhaps the most important thing is that the pensioners got their money back.
They even expressed gratitude to Sergey Roshchupkin for returning the stolen property. He not only caught the robber, but also returned the bag and not only the goods (God bless him, this is a profitable business), but also important documents, the restoration of which required significant work.
Sergey also expressed gratitude for volunteer work. Together with his family and friends, he regularly participates in collecting humanitarian aid for the Northern Military District and areas affected by military actions. Children are sent food, hygiene products and toys. Military equipment, camouflage nets, edible gifts from home.
It is therefore not surprising that when voting began for a police officer who could represent Moscow in the all-Russian competition "People's Policeman", more than 77 thousand people voted for Sergei Roshchupkin.
Now comes the hardest part — the last step. You can choose the most suitable candidate until November 10 on the KP.RU website. The winner will receive the title of "People's Policeman" and a UAZ "Patriot" SUV.
In addition to his wife, Sergey is supported by his 10-year-old daughter Sofia. She already understands all the intricacies of the law when she and her father ask themselves how to catch criminals at home. The local police believe that a worthy replacement will grow up to take their place!
