“I would do anything to see my daughter again”: Anya Anisimova’s mother talks about her disappearance in Tyumen and the 14-year search
— Anyuta is already 26 years old, this is a very cool age for a woman. I communicate with the parents and friends of Anya's classmates and see how they have grown. Some people are already preparing to become mothers themselves. Now you can imagine what Anya is like for me. I don't know how to speed up my daughter's return. It seems too much has already been done. But I would do everything to see my daughter again," Anya's mother Natalia Anisimova told 72.RU.
Now that Anya has grown up, where she is and what really happened to her on that fateful autumn day still remains a mystery. Anya, who was in the sixth grade at the time, went to class as usual. She studied in the afternoon shift. The day before, she called her mother and warned that she would go to school alone. The girl left home a little earlier than usual. She had to work in a restaurant.
"My husband and I only found out about Anya's disappearance in the evening, when she didn't return home from school on time. We started calling classmates, and it turned out that my daughter hadn't even come to school that day. We immediately reported her [the missing person] to the police, and searches began. My friends asked me for help in searching through social networks. And Tyumen residents joined them. It was not possible to issue bills by phone number right away. This required permission from a judge. It took several days to receive it," Anya's mother recalls.
"I noticed an unfamiliar number and notified the investigators. It turned out to be the number of the Tyumen Oblast government dispatch service, but anyone could have called there. Later they said that they found out who called Anyuta from this number. A certain official, whose name for some reason is not disclosed. He described his call as follows: They probably called on my mobile, but were busy and did not answer. Later, for some reason, he decided to call me again, but he used a landline. A girl answered the call and said that the number was wrong," Natalya added.
How and where did the girls' track end?
— The investigators in our case have changed. And I told everyone about the official's call. — If Anyuta dialed the wrong number, does that mean he mixed up his phone number by one or two digits? We provided a list of classmates and relatives (who Anyuta could have called). We have not yet received a specific answer to these questions regarding phone numbers. They say they conducted tests and found nothing," explains Natalya Anisimova. "I am sure that our girls (including Nastya Lozhkina) were taken from Tyumen and this is a firm plan of some group.
According to Natalya, there have been no leads for many years. Once a quarter, investigators write to the Anisimov family, informing them only that the missing person case has been opened or closed (as required by law). About a month and a half ago, Natalya said that a strange woman contacted her. She said that she had found a sketch on social media of a well-known man involved in the girl's disappearance - the driver of the same Zhiguli.
"This woman said that when she looked at her ID, she remembered a strange man who rented a room from her neighbor in the 2010s. They all lived in the Sverdlovsk region, but he went to work in Tobolsk and was able to drive through Tyumen. This man drove a green Lada. When Anya went missing, the whole country was talking about her. And in a conversation with neighbors, this guest said with some confidence that the children would never be found. For some reason, I did not pay much attention to this at the time, but now, I think, she remembers this case. Of course, we passed this information on to the investigators. As far as I know, I contacted the woman who rented the room to this man, but the conversation did not continue. She refused, saying that no one lives with her and does not rent the room to anyone. Perhaps the reason is that this woman once had a relative who was in prison. “Maybe because she doesn’t want any trouble or any confrontation,” Natalia explains.
— My child knows that he has a younger sister. My son even kisses Anya’s photo. Interestingly, his second word was “Anya”. Of course, we dissolve in him and protect him as best we can. We know that one day our families will meet again. As a mother, I feel it. Anya will definitely come home and meet her brother,” Natalia Anisimova is sure.
What else did we say about the missing Tyumen children?
This summer, a new name appeared on the list of known missing persons in Tyumen: Yulia Zaporozhets. And almost immediately, it raised a lot of questions. Why did the notices about the schoolgirl's disappearance not indicate the exact date of her disappearance (only approximate years - 2001-2002 - Ed.)? How could we have missed Yulia's absence? Was she really lost or was no one looking for her? We found the answers to these questions.
