At the same time, the number of accommodation places in the Murmansk Region is increasing. This is facilitated, among other things, by the state project "Tourism and Accommodation Industry", within the framework of which entrepreneurial initiatives for the construction of modular non-capital accommodation facilities are supported by a consolidated budget of about 100 million rubles.

In 2022 and 2023, it is planned to open six new accommodation facilities with 190 beds. In 2024, another facility with 50 beds will open in Kirovsk - the guest house of the tourist complex "Kiviny".

Also on the Sredniy and Rybachy peninsulas (Pechenga district) projects of Valla-Tunturi LLC are being implemented, and in Kirovsk a new resort is being designed, which will include a ski lift, a water park, a multi-level parking lot and a three-story complex. . Star hotel.

Earlier, the FederalPress publication wrote that 52.6 million rubles were allocated for the development of tourism infrastructure in the Arctic.
