Every year the tourist flow to the Murmansk region increases by almost a quarter
Murmansk, November 4, FederalPress. In 2023, 670 thousand tourists visited the Murmansk region. This is 24% higher than in 2022, the press service of the local government told FederalPress.
At the same time, the average annual occupancy rate of hotels in the region is 72.8%, reaching 90% at the peak of the season. At the same time, the number of locations in the Murmansk region is increasing. This is facilitated, among other things, by the state project "Tourism and Accommodation Industry", within the framework of which entrepreneurial initiatives for the construction of modular non-capital accommodation are supported by a consolidated budget of about 100 million rubles.
In 2022 and 2023, six new accommodation facilities with 190 beds will be opened. In 2024, another facility with 50 beds will open in Kirovsk - the Guest House of the Kiviny Tourist Complex.
Also on the Sredniy and Rybachy peninsulas (Pechenga district) projects of Valla-Tunturi LLC are being implemented, and in Kirovsk a new resort is being designed, which will include a ski lift, a water park, a multi-level parking lot and a three-story complex. . Star hotel.
