Acting Governor of Rostov Region Slyusar Calls Region an Infrastructure Hub
On Monday, President Vladimir Putin held talks with the CEO of the United Aircraft Corporation, Yuri Slyusar, and offered him the position of acting head of the Rostov Region, TASS reports.
At a meeting with the president, Slyusar called Rostov Oblast an "infrastructure hub" of the new region. In his speech, he noted that the region has significant industrial and economic potential and serves as a gateway to new territories where millions of citizens live.
The new head of the region emphasized that these factors will determine the importance of Rostov as a key infrastructure center, allowing for the effective development of new territories and their integration into the overall economic structure of the country.
Slyusar's appointment followed the resignation of Vasily Golubev, who announced his resignation from the post of governor on Telegram in connection with a transfer to another job.
