Putin appoints acting governors of Tambov and Rostov regions
The first conversation took place with 48-year-old State Duma deputy Yevgeny Pervyshov. He participates in special military operations and the Time of Heroes program, and served as mayor of Krasnodar from 2016 to 2021.
"Evgeny Alekseevich, we planned to meet. In any case, when I met you and your comrades, I know that you are familiar with this proposal. ?" the President asked Pervyshov.
"Of course, I agree. It is a great honor for me," the interlocutor replied. "This is the knowledge that I am receiving today as part of the retraining program under the "Time of Heroes" program. I think that if approved, I will be able to find opportunities to apply everything I say in the Tambov Region."
The politician admitted that he needed time to assess the situation. He had to communicate with Tambov residents and look at the possibilities for social and economic growth. Then he promised to present the president with action plans for regional development.
Afterwards, President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with Yuri Slyusar. The 50-year-old businessman is originally from Rostov-on-Don. Until Monday, he headed the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).
"There is a proposal to expand your area of responsibility and work at a different level in the Rostov region," the president began the conversation. Slyusar thanked Putin for his trust and noted that Rostov-on-Don is becoming a new hub and center of the macro-region. "For us, this is not only a challenge, but also an incentive and an opportunity for progress," he emphasized.
"We must immerse ourselves in economic activity. The region is truly important for the country and today its importance has increased many times over. Separate out the most important, the basics," the head of state addressed Slyusar.
Maxim Egorov, who has headed the Tambov region since 2021, and Vasily Golubev, who has held the post of governor of the Rostov region since 2010, announced their intention to resign in the afternoon of the 4th.
