Посол КНР уверен, что диалог РФ и Украины должен идти без вмешательства извне
China supports dialogue between Moscow and Kiev without interference from other countries. Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui told the Izvestia newspaper:
The Ambassador also noted that the Friends of Peace platform, created by China and Brazil to discuss ways to peacefully resolve the Ukrainian conflict, has already attracted a sufficient number of participants, mainly from countries of the Global South.
Last September, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Brazilian Presidential Special Envoy Celso Amorim in New York and said that China, Brazil and other Southern Hemisphere countries would establish a "Friends of Peace" platform to promote a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis.
Last May, Wang Yi and Amorim issued a six-point joint statement after consultations. It said dialogue and negotiations were the only way to resolve the Ukraine crisis. China and Brazil proposed holding an international peace conference at an “appropriate time” in which “all parties will participate equally and discuss peace plans.”
Russia is well aware of China and Brazil's proposals to resolve the Ukrainian conflict. Russian President Vladimir Putin called them "a good basis" for finding peace.
