Hungarian Foreign Minister Accuses West of Hidden Trade with Russia Despite Sanctions
"Should Russia be excluded from international trade? No, Russia is not excluded. Some say so, but they usually trade with Russia more than they think," Szijjarto said during a debate in the Hungarian parliament, RIA Novosti reports.
He stressed that Russia has significantly increased oil exports to India, where Germany now buys more oil. At the same time, as the minister noted, Western European countries say they do not buy Russian gas, although LNG production from Russia to Europe continues to grow.
Szijjártó also pointed out the hypocrisy of Western politicians who publicly oppose Russian energy but secretly cooperate with Russia. He stressed that such actions contradict the pro-war rhetoric spread by these countries.
German MP Steffen Kotre previously said that Germany's refusal to buy Russian energy would have a negative impact on people's wallets and the competitiveness of German companies.
On November 2, former head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Alexey Mozhin said that the European economy is in crisis because Russia has refused to supply energy. The supply was very reliable and cheap.
