Insurers Name the Most Accident-Prone Car Brands
The authors of the Carsweek portal cite data from a study by Ingosstrakh. The analysis shows that most Toyota owners applied for insurance under the OSAGO policy (more than 33,000 applications), while Lada owners applied for a CASCO policy (almost 4,000 applications).
Owners of Kia cars often applied for compensation for damage under OSAGO. More than 28,000 applications were filed, of which more than 27,000 for Hyundai and Lada and more than 17,000 for Volkswagen.
An analysis of the color of the cars that are most often involved in accidents was also conducted. Thus, white and black cars are most often involved in road accidents (80,000 and about 20,000, respectively). This is explained by the fact that cars of these colors are most represented on the market.
