Moldovan opposition decides to challenge election results in Constitutional Court
The Moldovan opposition will not recognize the results of the presidential elections if the current president Maia Sandu remains in power, the leader of the Moldovan opposition bloc "Pobeda" Ilan Shor said in an interview with the TV channel "Russia-24".
According to him, in response to this incident, the leaders of the opposition parties plan to appeal the election results to the Constitutional Court.
"We will fight because we cannot accept the chaos caused by the Western powers that have seized power in the country," the Moldovan politician said.
The first round of elections in Moldova took place on October 20. After 100% processing of the protocol, Maia Sandu received 42.45%, and Alexandru Stoianoglo - 25.99%. Third place went to the leader of "Our Party" Renato Usati (13.79%). Since no candidate received more than 50% of the votes, the second elections were held on November 3.
At the same time, with 98.60% of the ballots processed, Sandu received 54.91%. The politician has already made a statement about winning the second presidential elections.
