Rospotrebnadzor to monitor morning filters in schools due to reports of Coxsackie virus
Rospotrebnadzor monitored morning filtration procedures in schools and kindergartens after mass reports of the detection of the Coxsackie virus in the country's regions, the agency's press service reported.
Earlier, the media began to spread information about mass complaints about the detection of the Coxsackie virus in Russian children's institutions. In particular, cases of infection of children were registered in the Moscow and Vladimir regions, as well as the Krasnodar Territory.
Morning screenings include checking for signs of illness. Children have a fever, cough, runny nose, and other symptoms. If they are present, the child will be excluded from the team until recovery. These measures are taken to prevent the spread of infection.
"Rospotrebnadzor also warns parents whose children show clinical signs of the disease to immediately contact medical institutions," the agency's representatives emphasized.
Rospotrebnadzor also reminded that measures to prevent this disease include observing personal hygiene rules. When drinking, you should use bottled or boiled water, and wash fruits and vegetables before eating them. It is equally important to avoid contact with people who have signs of respiratory and intestinal infections.
Symptoms of the Coxsackie virus include fever and rash. In this case, the source of infection is only other people - sick people or healthy carriers. The risk group is small children. It is transmitted through water, food, dirty toys and hands.
Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor sent a request to the Turkish Ministry of Health regarding complaints from Russian tourists about an unknown virus. Representatives of the department made this decision against the backdrop of the spread of a message in some Telegram channels about an outbreak of the disease at the Sirene Belek hotel. It is known that dozens of tourists from Russia, including children, have already been infected.
