Ukraine Considers Agreement with Russia to End Energy Strikes
Ukrainian President Andriy Yermak confirmed that Kyiv is ready to negotiate with Russia to stop attacks on energy infrastructure. According to him, Ukraine is ready to conclude an agreement guaranteeing the security of mutual energy facilities through the mediation role of Qatar. Yermak made it clear that the negotiations are continuing, although no specific agreement has been reached at this time.
The politician also noted that the idea of negotiations arose after a series of international conferences on energy security, where the issue of protecting critical infrastructure was raised. According to Yermak, Ukraine is ready to negotiate with Russia separately with the mediation of Qatar or another neutral country.
Zelensky reportedly proposed abandoning attacks on energy facilities.
Earlier in Ukraine it was recorded that half of the country's energy system was out of order.
