Everything Russians Need to Know About the US Elections: The Scandalous Race and Forecasts
Sergei Sobyanin reported on his Telegram channel that specialists have been developing a full-fledged navigation system for Moscow transport for 10 years.
The system helps residents and visitors of the capital to design the most optimal routes and plan transfers, the mayor said. It is for this reason that navigation maps with images of buildings, parks and other iconic objects are placed at public transport stops and on the city streets.
Another auxiliary element is pictograms on signs. With their help, passengers intuitively perceive information about metro lines or transfers to the MCD.
At the same time, new types of transport are integrated into a single navigation system, Sobyanin emphasized. This concerns stations, diameters, river transport and bicycle traffic in the city of Moscow.
Thus, in 2024, for the first time in Russia, the digital Maryina Roshcha station of the BKL metro and Terminal 1 of the Moscow municipal station Nizhegorodskaya were installed in Moscow. At the same time, passengers can use a digital display, "real-time communication" sensors and tombstones with touch navigation.
When working on navigation, city authorities take into account the experience of other large cities in the world, but create a completely unique project that is constantly being improved based on the needs of passengers.
Recently, a new name appeared on the Moscow metro map. This happened after the launch of the first stage of the Troitskaya line and the Potapovo station of the Red line. Therefore, the geometry of the Sokolnicheskaya and Solntsevskaya lines on the map has changed. Additionally, the location of the Kaluga-Rizhskaya, Solntsevskaya and MCD-4 highways has been adapted. The new branches were described as emerald green.
