Russian military liberated eight settlements in a month
In October, the Vostok group took control of eight settlements.
In October last year, the military group "Vostok" of the Zone of Special Military Operations liberated eight settlements and 100 square kilometers of territory south of Donetsk. According to TASS, this was reported by the deputy commander of the group, Lieutenant General Roman Grekov.
He noted that the Russian military has been conducting an offensive military operation for five months. According to Grekov, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are retreating, but continue to resist.
Earlier, units of the Central Army liberated the village of Vishnevoe of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The village is located several kilometers west of the city of Selidovo, which was taken under control by Russian troops in late October.
In early October, Russian troops occupied Ugledar, where about 15,000 people lived before the fighting began. The battle for the city lasted more than two years.
