In the village of Bolshoy Istok (Sverdlovsk Region) and the nearby SNT, on November 3, local residents were left without electricity for almost a whole day. As URA.RU was informed by the press service of Rosseti Ural, the disruption occurred due to bad weather.
"Local technical interruptions in the distribution network related to bad weather have been recorded in Bolshoy Istok and SNT during the day. Rosseti Ural crews have been on high alert since yesterday evening and are eliminating the consequences of the bad weather," the statement says.
Despite the strong wind, the situation in the area was under control, the organizers emphasized. At Bolshoy Istok, lighting was restored as early as 20:30, and at the neighboring SNT - 30 minutes before that.
Power engineers are currently working in a special mode. 172 teams consisting of 817 personnel, 347 units of equipment and 35 backup power sources are working to eliminate the damage caused by strong winds.
