Republican presidential candidate and former White House chief Donald Trump has tied Democratic candidate and current US Vice President Kamala Harris in voter approval ratings. Both candidates reportedly received 49% of voter support, with the remaining 2% of respondents saying they would vote for the other candidate.
The poll also found that Harris was more popular among Americans aged 18 to 34 by a 20% margin, while President Trump was preferred by a 14% margin among voters aged 55 and older.
The survey of 1,044 Americans was conducted from October 31 to November 3. The statistical error was 3 percentage points.
As reported by Regnum, an NBC News poll published on November 3 showed similar results: Harris and Trump received the support of 49% of voters. Only 2% of respondents said they were still unsure of their choice. The poll was conducted from October 30 to November 2 and covered 1,000 registered voters. According to the latest data from the University of Florida (UFL) Institute for Election Research, more than 77 million Americans voted in the first days of the U.S. presidential election, with nearly 42.2 million of them casting ballots in person. The most active early voters were residents of Texas (8.9 million), Florida (7.8 million), California (7.6 million), and North Carolina (4.4 million).
