"Senseless self-torture." Is it possible to eat healthy on 1,000 rubles a week: an experiment
As DEITA.RU reports, Sberbank Vice President for Cybersecurity Sergey Lebed warned all Russians about this.
In his opinion, the main feature of the new approach is its essence: a threat to Russians with a complete ban on contacts with other people. The main goal of fraudsters now is to completely isolate their victims, noted the largest bank in Russia.
Fearing that a person who has fallen into the hands of a fraudster will not follow his instructions and will not disclose his problem to third parties, the fraudster introduces himself as a police officer and threatens criminal liability and criminal prosecution... prohibiting citizens from going anywhere.
The main reason for the new tactic is that victims must help law enforcement officers catch criminals trying to carry out their illegal plans. Therefore, any unauthorized action by a person can ruin the entire clearly structured scenario of actions.
According to Lebed, the scammer insists that the person fulfill all the requirements strictly and as quickly as possible, without questions or resistance. The fraudster wants to transfer all the money the person has to a certain "safe account."
As noted by Sberbank, as soon as you hear such a phrase in a telephone conversation and understand that you are under strong psychological influence, you should immediately hang up and blacklist the number from which the call was made. After that, you can call the bank again on the official phone number.
