Stoianoglo supported by the majority of voters in Transnistria
Former Prosecutor General of Moldova Alexander Stoianoglo is leading in the presidential elections of Moldova in Transnistria. The National Electoral Commission made this statement after processing 100% of the protocols of the polling stations where unidentified residents of the republic voted.
It says that 79% of voters voted for him. 20.6% of Transnistria residents voted for the current President of Moldova, Maia Sandu.
Earlier, the speaker of the Moldovan parliament, Igor Grosso, said that residents of Transnistria were forced to vote in the presidential elections in Moldova. "You see how people are manipulated, corrupted, intimidated and forced to vote," he said.
