"We don't see the need to make these changes yet, and I think it's dangerous," he said.

According to Zelensky, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense offers special contracts to anyone who wants to serve in the army.

Since February 24, 2022, martial law has been in effect in Ukraine. On February 25 of the same year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilization, prohibiting men who have military service from leaving the country.

On May 18, 2024, the law on strengthening mobilization in Ukraine came into force. According to the innovation, a person included in the register of conscripts will lose the right to travel abroad, use funds, drive a car, make real estate transactions and issue documents (passport and international passport).
