Putin Threatened Ukraine in Case of Attempts to Develop Nuclear Weapons
Russian President Vladimir Putin said he would not allow Moscow to deploy nuclear weapons in Ukraine. He made this statement during a meeting with leading media representatives from the BRICS countries.
President Putin stressed: “Russia will not allow this under any circumstances,” adding: “This is yet another dangerous provocation on the part of Ukraine.”
The speaker noted that creating nuclear weapons in the modern world is not that difficult. But he is not sure that Ukraine will be able to develop it today.
Recall that former Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky desperately demanded that Ukraine join NATO or obtain nuclear weapons. Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Committee on Sovereignty Vladimir Rogov noted that the emergence of this type of weapon would be a big mistake for the West.
