Airline Punished for Incident in Nizhny Novgorod
Ikar Airlines was fined for violations discovered after a flight attendant was injured during a flight in Nizhny Novgorod this spring. The decision was reported to the local labor inspectorate.
The accident occurred on March 30. A 37-year-old man sustained a head injury when he hit a hidden recess in the plane during the crash. During the investigation, it was found that the accident was caused by the carelessness and inattention of the victim. However, poor work organization also led to accidents. Investigators concluded that the airline failed to ensure the safety of its employees during the operation of the plane. As a result, Ikar was ordered to pay a fine of 100,000 rubles.
