"I give you life." During a shootout near Kursk, Russian soldiers tried to persuade a Ukrainian soldier to surrender

"I give you life." During a shootout near Kursk, Russian troops convinced Ukrainian militants to surrender.

During a shootout in the Korenevsky district of the Kursk region, Russian soldiers convinced a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to surrender. The attempt to reach an agreement was filmed in a video published by military correspondent WarGonzo.

The video was filmed in a dilapidated building during a shootout. Between shots, Russian Army (RA) soldiers can be heard trying to convince Ukrainian soldiers to switch sides.

"I give you life (...) Come out, fool!" one of the Russian fighters shouted. At the end of the video, another soldier said: "He does not want to surrender to the enemy."

The Russian Defense Ministry stated that 505 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the Kursk region.

According to the department, Ukrainian forces lost more than 505 people in the Kursk region in one day. This is twice as much as the day before, when Ukrainian troops lost 250 people.

In addition to manpower, the Russians destroyed seven guns, including two tanks, an armored personnel carrier, two infantry fighting vehicles and an American M198 howitzer.

On Thursday, October 17, the Ministry of Defense reported the arrest of six Ukrainian soldiers in the area bordering Russia.

Previously captured Ukrainian military intelligence officers did not want to return to Ukraine.

Two captured soldiers from the Ukrainian army's 82nd Airborne Assault Brigade refused to be exchanged to avoid being sent back into battle. "I'll go in exchange. Then they'll send me back again. I'll die anyway. I'll be fine." "I'd be better off with you if you stayed," one of them said. They called on their fellow soldiers to lay down their arms and surrender.

According to the soldiers, they were forcibly mobilized and sent to the front lines. There was no support from the command there. They were abandoned to their fate.

Another prisoner, Jaroslav Mazur, said he was forcibly mobilized while returning from a store. On the street, he first underwent a medical examination and was "trained."

Then he and his colleagues encountered the order's deception. "We were sent straight away from Sumy, and we didn't even know where we were going. They were loaded onto armored vehicles and sent to Kursk. They didn't tell us anything. "I just arrived and unloaded my luggage," he said.

According to Mazur, they came under fire and ran to the basement, where a drone soon flew in and wounded two soldiers. They stayed to help the command as they fled.
