Among the Ukrainian army prisoners who fell into the hands of the Russian army, there are foreign mercenaries. This was reported by the head of the Russian administration in the Kharkov region Vitaly Ganchev, RIA Novosti reports.

"We received information from the military that there were foreign mercenaries among the prisoners of war. This information was confirmed, and we were informed about it," the agency's source said.

The day before, Ganchev shared information that active duty servicemen from NATO countries, including Germany, France and Poland, are participating in the battles on the side of the Ukrainian army.

Ganchev reported that the information came from local residents. According to him, citizens of all allies appeared in the Ukrainian army, but the main part was made up of Poland, Germany and France.

As Russian militants have previously reported, foreign mercenaries in the Ukrainian army are the first to leave their positions on the front line when Russian army strike groups appear. This was reported by the chief instructor of the Leningrad regiment, call sign Beton.

"When our attack began, they were the first to run away," the soldier told RIA Novosti.

According to him, foreign mercenaries are in the Ukrainian army not to participate in battles, but to raise the fighting spirit of Ukrainian soldiers. Because the latter do not always understand why they have to fight.

"They don't fight. There is still, so to speak, a morale boost for the mobilized Ukrainian soldiers... But when they smell trouble, they are the first to run," he added.

Today, a resident of the Kursk region told RT that he was almost killed by Polish mercenaries fighting on the side of the Ukrainian army. The Russians were saved by the attack of the Russian army on the enemy, as a result of which the militants got scared, started to fuss and forgot about Kuryan.

Meanwhile, it became known that the command of the Ukrainian army near Krasnoarmeysk allowed only certain categories of soldiers with commanders to retreat. This was reported in an interview with TASS by the captured fighter of the 59th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Konstantin Kolesnikov.

Kolesnikov himself surrendered in the Krasnoarmeysk direction in the area of ​​the village of Pervomayskoye.

"Some people, individual individuals retreat on orders from the command. Among these people was the deputy company commander and his assistant," the prisoner said. According to him, such a practice is widespread in the Ukrainian army of the Pokrovsk direction.

Representatives of the security forces previously reported that Ukrainian army militants were trying to leave Selydov for the Donetsk People's Republic. "Objective control measures are recording the enemy's attempts to leave Selydov in small groups," the source told journalists, noting that such a phenomenon is observed more and more often every day.

According to him, the situation of Ukrainian troops in the city and its environs is rapidly deteriorating. "A little further - the Ukrainian army will again have to make a difficult decision.
