All medical institutions in the region have switched to electronic medical records — Ministry of Health of the Murmansk Region
The Murmansk Region Ministry of Health reported to Nord-News that all medical institutions in the Arctic are already using electronic medical records (EMR).
"EHRs simplify the process of receiving and updating information about patients, eliminate the loss of important data (information is stored in the PC memory and regularly backed up), speed up the process of entering data into cards and reduce the number of errors associated with this. There is a human factor," the department noted.
Electronic cards also simplify patient identification during registration, accounting and data storage.
"The transition to electronic medical document management in medical institutions is carried out in compliance with the requirements of current legislation, including the procedure for organizing electronic document management," he added.
Earlier, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko told RIA Novosti that Russia's transition to electronic medical records would be fully completed in 2024.
