"I have a very good relationship with the king, and also a very friendly and comradely relationship with the crown prince," he said.
According to President Putin, there is no doubt about the sincerity of Saudi Arabia's efforts in this direction.
"Of course, if such an event were held in Saudi Arabia, the place itself would be quite comfortable for us. That's not the question. The question is what to discuss," the head of state noted.
On October 18, President Putin met with the heads of the largest media outlets of the BRICS member countries. This event will take place on the eve of the unification summit, which will be held in Kazan from October 22 to 24. Russia is scheduled to chair BRICS in 2024, and this summit will be the first to include new members of the community, including Egypt, Iran, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia.
