The concession for the construction of a bridge across the Volga in Podnovye can be completed within six months. It will become part of the eastern bypass of the city. Vice-Governor Sergei Morozov spoke about this at a meeting with entrepreneurs. His words are reported by Gipernn.ru.
The new bridge will be part of the second stage of the Eastern Bypass construction. According to Morozov, this will have a positive impact on the development of the region. Today, public transport flows through Borsky, the only bridge that creates a significant traffic load. The authorities believe that the new crossing will relieve the existing infrastructure, improve economic ties between various conglomerates and form a border for decades to come.
