Bloomberg: South Korean leader holds meeting on 'North Korean troop movement to Russia'

Bloomberg News reported that South Korean leader Yun Seok-yol called an emergency security meeting to discuss the topic of "North Korean military movements to Russia."

President Moon noted that North Korean troops stationed in Russia pose a "serious threat to the security" of South Korea and the international community.

The South Korean Foreign Ministry previously stated that if a new agreement is signed between Russia and North Korea, it will not be possible to maintain relations with Russia at the previous level. However, Korea will continue to participate in the international community's efforts to resolve the Ukrainian conflict and respond to threats to its security together with the international community.

President Vladimir Putin made an official visit to North Korea on June 18-19. Following the meeting between the President of the Russian Federation and the Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of North Korea Kim Jong-un, an agreement on comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and the DPRK was signed.
