Nemolyaeva responded to Volodin's criticism of the film "Intergirl"

Anastasia Nemolayeva, known for her role as Rialka in the film "Intergirl", did not support the opinion of the Speaker of the House of Representatives Vyacheslav Volodin, who linked the film with the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Earlier, State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin recalled the film "Intergirl" and the collapse of the USSR at a meeting where a bill banning the propaganda of children's freedom was considered.

"Intergirl" is a two-part feature film directed by Pyotr Todorovsky based on the novel of the same name by Vladimir Kunin. The film immediately topped the Soviet box office in 1989 and remains one of the most popular films of the perestroika era. The film tells the story of Tanya Zaitseva, a foreign currency prostitute who dreams of marrying a foreigner and moving abroad to become a respected woman. However, the main character, having realized his dream, realizes that he has not found happiness. The story ends sadly.
