"TKS Holding" changes its name to "T-Technologies"
TCS Holding, the parent company of T-Bank, has begun a name change. The board of directors has submitted a new version to shareholders for a vote under the name "T-Technologies". The shareholders are expected to make a decision on this issue in about a month, on Thursday, November 14.
"After relocating the parent company back to Russia, we are completing the update of the brand platform and presenting to shareholders the updated name of the Group - International Company Public Joint Stock Company T-Technologies. Being the DNA of our business, we officially reflect this philosophy in the name of the group," said Alexey Malinovsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TCS Holding.
He recalled that the letter T is the basis of all the organization’s consumer brands (T-Bank, T-Business, T-Investments, T-Insurance, T-Mobile, T-Education, etc.).
"The name of the group should reflect our mission in all languages. "Technology" is a universal, international word that has a single meaning in all languages of the world. "In the interests of all shareholders," Malinovsky explained the board of directors' proposal.
According to him, the group's name update reflects the long-term development philosophy of the T-Bank ecosystem - a business based on technology and innovation, including professional AI assistants and AI research laboratories.
As Delovoy Peterburg reported earlier, in June 2024, Tinkoff Bank changed its brand to T-Bank. Then the process of updating product names, card designs, ATMs and brand attributes began.
Tinkoff Group began updating its corporate identity in February of this year. Subsequently, the logo's coat of arms was replaced by a minimalist letter "T". In early 2024, TCS Holding re-registered from Cyprus to Russia, but was legally obliged to retain its previous name upon re-registration.
