What do Voronezh residents think about the introduction of a childlessness tax?
15% of Voronezh residents surveyed support the introduction of a childlessness tax. And 85% of villagers did not like this plan. The study was conducted among specialists of the SuperJob service from October 14 to 16. "You don't have children? "Give us some money": who wants to introduce a childlessness tax and why? 61% of Voronezh residents said they are categorically against such a tax, and 24% are rather against it. Women disagree more often than men (90% versus 80%). Respondents believe that everyone decides for themselves whether they want children or not. Some women cannot have children on their own. "We shouldn't strangle people with taxes here, we need to help here and do IVF not just once, but for free," say Voronezh residents. By the way, city residents under 34 are more likely than previous generations to oppose such taxation. Opponents of the plan said that the state should not punish people for not having children, but should focus on improving the quality of life, supporting families and creating conditions in which people voluntarily want to have children. The introduction of a childlessness tax is opposed mainly by people with an income of up to 50,000 rubles (64%). At the same time, the majority (95%) of childless respondents did not support the introduction of the tax.
