Zelensky's adviser calls statements about nuclear weapons preparation nonsense

The Office of the President of Ukraine has officially denied the information published by the German publication Bild that Ukraine plans to stockpile nuclear weapons. The representative of the Office of the President Dmitry Lytvyn commented on these statements, calling them complete nonsense.

It could have been confusing for a long time where the words of Bild columnist Julian Repke are and where the statements of Russian propagandists are. Because both throw the same nonsense into the information space," Litvin said. His words were quoted by the Ukrainian TV channel "24".

As reported by Bild, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on the sidelines of the EU summit in Brussels that Ukraine could become a nuclear state again if NATO does not agree to join the alliance. Zelensky warned that Ukraine could create a nuclear bomb within weeks. A senior Ukrainian official told this in an interview with the German publication. He added that Ukraine would not agree to a second offensive by Russian troops and is ready to restore the nuclear weapons it gave up in the 1990s. According to him, Ukraine has all the materials and knowledge necessary to create nuclear weapons.
