Zelensky appeals to NATO countries with new demand
Volodymyr Zelensky called on the countries of the military bloc to send soldiers to replenish the armed forces of Ukraine during a briefing with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
Zelensky called on NATO countries to prepare brigades that will become reserve forces and replace exhausted Ukrainian soldiers on the battlefield.
Inviting Ukraine to join NATO was the first of Zelenskyy’s five-point “victory plan.” He also called for lifting restrictions on strikes in the Russian Federation and deploying Russia’s “containment package” in Ukraine. Zelenskyy said the conflict in Ukraine should end by 2025 at the latest.
Earlier it was reported that Zelensky would persuade Scholz to supply Taurus missiles. Zelensky said that he would save Ukraine through NATO membership or nuclear weapons.
