Who most often opens their business in the Black Earth Region
Analysts analyzed data for the first nine months of this year and compared it with the same period last year.
The number of Chernozem residents who decided to open an individual entrepreneur or LLC has grown by 5.2% over the first nine months of this year compared to the same period last year. In most cases, citizens registered enterprises engaged in retail trade, passenger and freight transportation, construction and wholesale trade. This is data from the Central Black Earth Bank "Business Environment" and Sberbank. To calculate this, experts analyzed more than 136 thousand individual entrepreneurs and LLCs.
Among the most popular types of activity among young entrepreneurs, strong growth compared to last year was shown by transport trade and construction (+19%) and real estate trade (+10%).
At the same time, older people register their businesses more often than younger generations. So, last year, the share of entrepreneurs over 36 years old was 55%, and this year it has already reached 57%. Among men who started a business this year, the majority are over 36 years old (55%). Among women, the share of self-employed people over 36 years old is 58%.
Analysts note an increase in the number of entrepreneurs over 56 years old. Among these categories, the greatest growth was observed in the following areas of activity: "Law and accounting" (+67%), "Education" (+54%) and "Advertising" (+45%). The ratio of men and women in this category was almost equal - 51% to 49%.
The gender ratio of start-up entrepreneurs this year (40% women, 60% men) was 41% women and 59% men, which is not much changed compared to last year.
Over the first nine months of this year, more than 35,000 new enterprises have been created in the Black Earth Region. Sergey Frolov, Deputy Chairman of the Central Black Earth Bank of PAO Sberbank, says that both beginning and established entrepreneurs need not only financial support, but also professional support.
When registering a business, people choose the status of individual entrepreneur in 93% of cases, LLC – 7%. A year ago, 91% of entrepreneurs registered individual entrepreneurs as a corporation, and 9% registered LLCs.
