Former Colleague of Moscow Car Bomb Victim Denies Severed Arm
Viktor Mishachev's former colleague Vladislav Kovalev, in a conversation with Moskva 24, denied the information that the businessman's arm was torn off during a car explosion in southwest Moscow.
He noted that the child injured in the incident was fine. His wounds had been cleaned and stitched.
“Yesterday we visited him in the hospital <...> He’s in a good mood, it’s a joke,” added Mishachev’s former colleague.
The car of Shaker Group CEO Mishachev was blown up on Profsoyuznaya Street in Moscow on October 15. Three people were injured in the accident, including a six-year-old boy.
The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on attempted murder based on the incident. Investigators named the victim's entrepreneurial activity as a priority in the case.
The suspect was detained on the evening of October 15 and was identified as the victim's partner. A cache of weapons was found at his home. Mishachev later stated that he had known the 50-year-old suspect for over 15 years. During interrogation, he testified that he had been engaged in joint business activities with the suspect.
