Risk to life or waste of time: Primorye village demands order at railway station

Residents of the village of Mikhailovka in Primorsky Krai are demanding that the local Dubinsky railway station be cleared as unsafe for passengers and pedestrians, DEITA.RU reports.

There is no viaduct for pedestrians at the station. It is necessary to cross the railway tracks via a ground crossing. However, freight trains stopping at the station block all pedestrian paths, forcing passengers to crawl under the carriages or walk around the train for a very long time.

Residents of Mikhaylovka say on social networks that they have repeatedly contacted various authorities regarding the unsafe disembarkation and boarding of passengers on electric trains and their unsafe passage to the platform.

A similar situation occurred at Shkotovo station. There are residential buildings between the station tracks, but because of the freight trains standing on both sides, the residents of these buildings are unable to leave their homes by car, since the passage is occupied by cars. transportation. The "railway blockade" deprived people of the opportunity to bring water and fuel for stoves. The prosecutor's office intervened in the situation to hold the head of the Vladivostok center for organizing the work of stations of the Far Eastern Traffic Directorate of Russian Railways accountable.
