FSB Detains Suspect in Financing Ukrainian Terrorists in Omsk

According to TASS, law enforcement agencies in Omsk detained a young man on charges of financing Ukrainian terrorist organizations and financing the Ukrainian army. According to FSB officials, the suspect was the administrator of a Telegram channel that promoted terrorist activity and called on users to commit violent acts against patriotic Russian citizens.

The investigation recorded that the funds used to support the activities of Ukrainian terrorists were transferred to the accounts of Ukrainian terrorists. During the search, equipment was seized from the prisoner and evidence of his illegal activities was found. A criminal case was opened under the article on high treason, which provides for punishment up to life imprisonment.

According to law enforcement agencies, the 18-year-old suspect was actively engaged in propaganda and fundraising activities in support of military action against Russia and coordinated his actions through social networks.

Earlier, a man was detained in the Nizhny Novgorod Region as part of a mission by the Russian Freedom Legion, a Ukrainian organization recognized as terrorist in Russia. The FSB detained members of the LSR on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack in Bryansk. A supporter of the "Russian Volunteers," a Ukrainian organization considered terrorist and banned in Russia, was detained in Moscow on suspicion of creating a criminal group for violent actions.
