A North Korean defense ministry spokesman said the military would take steps in the future to build forts in areas where communications are cut off.

Prior to this, the North Korean General Staff ordered artillery units on the border to prepare. Kim Jong-un said that if South Korea and the United States use force, North Korea will respond with nuclear weapons.
