Harris promised her presidency would be different from Biden's

Vice presidential candidate and US Secretary of State Kamala Harris said that if she wins the election, she will lead the country differently from Joe Biden. She told Fox News:

"My presidency will not be a continuation of Joe Biden's presidency," she said. "I will bring my life experience, my professional experience, and fresh, new ideas. I will represent a new generation of leaders."

Harris also added that, unlike Biden, she has not spent most of her career in Washington.

On July 25, Harris officially announced that she would run as the Democratic Party's candidate in the presidential election after incumbent US leader Biden declined to seek re-election as head of state and nominated her as his vice presidential successor.

Harris also posted campaign videos and asked Americans to fund her campaign, while Biden will help manage the vice presidential campaign.
