Kremlin — URA.RU: aid to Ukraine is contrary to Europe’s interests
European countries ignore their economic interests by providing assistance to Ukraine. Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov commented to URA.RU on the budget deficit of France and Germany due to the mobilization of the military-industrial complex (MIC):
"We know that many European countries are beginning to experience difficulties in mobilizing the capabilities of their military-industrial complex. Such mobilization of capabilities for temporary purposes is contrary to the interests of economic development of these countries," Peskov said.
According to him, the potential of European countries is not calculated for such efforts. Peskov also expressed hope that the understanding of the uselessness of these expenses will gradually reach an increasing number of beneficiaries.
Earlier, French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu said France would not be able to fulfill its promise to provide full support to Ukraine due to the country's budget deficit. The German economy is facing similar problems.
