Fishermen from the "Angel" trailer were shocked by what they saw in the boat of a man rescued from the Sea of Okhotsk

The crew of a fishing boat raised the alarm when they saw a ship with a scrap metal flag and an emaciated man aboard drifting in the dark of the Sea of Okhotsk. The man in the vest looked at Gu Gudong with a blank expression and tried to speak, but only made unintelligible sounds.

The fishermen experienced a second shock when two bodies, an adult man and a teenager, were found between pieces of tarpaulin on their boat. It was difficult to explain to the survivor Mikhail Pikchugin that these were his brother and nephew. This was evident from their social networks. They were preparing for a big trip together. They bought a boat, sleeping bags, collected food and drinking water, and set off on a boat from Cape Perovsky in Khabarovsk Krai to the Shantar Islands. The schoolboy’s long-time dream was to meet a Greenland whale. We successfully arrived at our destination. Then they planned to sail to Sakhalin, but got caught in a storm and got lost. When the travelers stopped communicating, relatives raised the alarm and searches began. Rescue teams searched more than 120 kilometers of the coastline, part of the waters of Sakhalin Bay, but were unable to find anyone.

The ship drifted in the open sea for more than two months. As food and water ran out, the travelers began to rapidly lose strength. It is unknown how long Mikhail lasted after the death of his relative. The clock was already ticking when he was met by a trawler nicknamed "Angel".

How he survived, how his brother and nephew died, Mikhail probably won't tell today. Doctors need to stabilize his condition first. Criminal cases have been opened on the facts of violations of road safety and the work of sea transport.
