Kharkiv region spoke about holding a referendum
Vitaly Ganchev, head of the Military-Civil Administration of the Russian Federation for the Kharkov region, spoke about the issue of holding a referendum on membership in Russia. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
He noted that he is completely on the side of local residents in this matter, but added that public opinion should be studied in more detail and on a larger scale. In particular, Ganchev stated that the decision will be made only by citizens who have already received Russian citizenship.
Earlier, Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov called the annexation of Kharkov and the Kharkov Region to the region a solution to the problem of shelling of regional territories. In response, the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov did not comment on the statements of the head of the border region.
