Doctor in Syzran accused of 22 criminal offenses: case under control of Investigative Committee
The Investigative Department of Syzran has completed a criminal case against a psychiatrist and narcologist. The doctor is accused of committing 22 crimes under Articles 290 (bribe) and 292 (forgery of official documents) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
- The investigation established that the said doctor repeatedly received bribes between 2022 and 2023 in exchange for an indication that the subject was not in a state of alcoholic intoxication as a result of a medical examination without actually conducting the examination. In total, the defendants received at least 1,007,500 rubles, the press service of the Samara Investigative Committee told KTV-LUCH.
Law enforcement officials reported the confiscation of the defendant's property totaling more than 5 million rubles to ensure the enforcement of the court's decision.
The case is now being referred to court.
