Measures against TV presenter who called for killing for Russian films and music have been announced

The Lithuanian Radio and Television Committee (LRTK) has issued a warning to TV presenter Algis Ramanauskas for disseminating prohibited information on social networks, Sputnik Lithuania reports, citing the commission's press service.

Earlier, the press published articles about scandalous videos posted by the showman on social networks. In the video, Ramanauskas talks to a studio guest and says that children should be taken away from parents who listen to Russian music and watch Russian films. He added: "We should shoot these parents."

LRTK explained that it asked the TV presenter to explain his actions.

The department stressed that after a thorough examination of the video, they came to the conclusion that Ramanauskas's assertion that the information was of a comical nature "is not considered sufficient."

Journalists concluded that the showman is widely known in the Baltics for his Russophobic position and incitement of hatred.
